Check us out on YouTube!

I love being able to post videos... I hate that it takes SO long to upload them to this blog.
So we now have a YouTube channel where you can see all our posted videos.
You can even subscribe to it, like the blog and be notified when new videos are posted.
Go check out a video of Lincoln opening his 1st bike on Christmas!

Merry Christmas! (part 1)

Merry Christmas from the Kennedys!
We hope you had a wonderful day!
We stayed in Kansas again this year, in fact we stayed home the entire day!
We enjoyed family time, some movies, playing with new toys, & cooking!
We have also enjoyed the company of different friends over the past couple of days.
Our friend Caleb and Lincoln got to open a present on the 23rd!

Caleb LOVES cars and trucks! There were lessons in sharing and a little 22mo. old fighting. Amelleah's "My First Christmas" outfit that she wore on Christmas EveYes, this is our Charlie Brown tree. Our other tree had issues, I'll spare you the details, but we had to replace it... so this was it! Santa's workshop... the Kennedy living room!
Lincoln checking out his stocking
Amelleah showing off her "My First Christmas" hat.... thanks Uncle Steve!! This is as formal as it got today. We stayed home all day...

Lincoln & Mommy managed to stay in PJs ALL day!
Amelleah got other "toys" (crib soother, playmat) but this was her stocking!
Lincoln kept going back and sitting with the presents.

He patiently waited while Daddy read the Christmas story before we opened all those presents!
Notice the cat perched above.... probably wondering what was going on.
She stayed there ALL morning!
"Jonathan Park" volume 3!!!!
The kids love to listen to these audio stories that are scientific and Bible based.

Lincoln LOVES his tent/fort... it has a tunnel too
We saved the biggest one for last...
Linc's 1st bike!!
The oh-so-coveted KINDLE!!!!
It was hard to resist when this girl reads SO much... she was really excited!
Contents of Amelleah's stocking...
can you tell she is thrilled??!!
All of the box trash...
in the way...
while we were getting ready to go play outside.
We should think more about recycling... haha!
Andrew's 1st 2wheel scooter... he was a little worried and intimidated at first but
eventually did great and had fun!
Yes, it was cold.
It was snowing, but didn't stick.
Yes, we went outside.
Everyone survived... the entire 15 minutes!
(Linc and Amelleah were napping)
Beautiful Christmas Girl!
This dress was more for a picture only (thanks Grandma Pat)... I can't find tights small enough!
Part 2 will be more videos!

Catching up!

Doing a little catching up...
Sydni began singing with the kids choir at church this fall. Sunday (the 19th) night they performed during the church's Christmas concert titled "Portraits of Christmas". If featured the kids choir, youth choir, adult choir, a little drama, and a full orchestra. It was fabulous!!!

Sydni is in the middle row, just to the left (sometimes behind) the mic stand.
And then there is other news... on Tues the 21st we (Salyna, Lincoln, & Amelleah) were in a car accident. Everyone is fine and the van is driveable. It could have been much worse! I am very thankful that my mother taught me defensive driving and for the many years of driving in crazy places like Southern California!! We were hit as a result of another accident that was a "cross the median, head on" accicent. I was able to avoid also being hit head on and the driver door took the initial hit with the car continuing to dent and scrape the entire driver side. We are SO thankful to have that HUGE van. It served it's purpose well and will continue to!
Please pray for the young man who caused this accident... he did NOT have insurance!
Also pray for us as we communicate with him and make a decision as to how to proceed in the process of getting the van fixed as well as recovering the costs to do so!

After we got our vehicles all moved over to one lane.
You can't tell from this pic but his drivetrain/axles is basically on the ground and that front wheel was barely hanging on as they put on the tow truck. He went over that median in the middle of the road!

Just because videos are fun!

So Lincoln gets camera shy or he wants to "have it" whenever he sees me trying to use it. I was trying to get him dancing in this one but he got shy AND cute at the end :)

And here is just a bit of Sydni's school program.

WARNING!
I see many more video posts in the future! It's just so fun, not only for me but for everyone who doesn't get to see our family very often. I am not going to apologize but if you happen to be a part of our daily lives, now might be a good time to a break from our blog... I would totally understand! Hahaha

We are testing our new pocket video cam... "Merry Christmas to me!"

Please let me know if you are not able to view this okay or if you have any video blogging tips for me. I'm so excited to finally be able to share videos with family and friends who don't live near us or get to visit with us very often!

Formal Fotos...Finally!

Thanks to having pneumonia since Thanksgiving I am just now getting around to posting the formal pictures we had taken of the kids when Amelleah was only 5 days old. Most of you have seen a lot of these already but I wanted everyone to be able to see all of them.
And of course I have not taken the time to crop any of them.
Enjoy!
Not a great one because we haven't done formal pics in well.... let's just say a long time. They were a little camera shy/scared at first... haha!

The girls!

Yes, this is Andrew's smile in ALL posed pics!

Can you spot the cast??

My favorite of the boys, pretty much shows each of their personalities!
And finally, this was the pic we used for the announcement... obviously not edited here.
